Not just because we would make their moon boots look chic, but because we have a past. It’s in film, television, advertising, digital, storytelling and branding with a focus on fashion, beauty, lifestyle and retail.
Executive Creative Director
When I was 13, I plastered my bedroom walls with all my favorite vinyl record covers. I was obsessed with the artwork. Each one was a little story and I wanted to know more. It occurred to me that this marked the time that I realized what art direction was and it spoke to me. I wanted in.
Since then, I’ve conceptualized creative in every media platform for some of the world’s leading brands, including Victoria’s Secret, Target, White House Black Market, Stila Cosmetics, CVS/pharmacy, DC Shoes, Salma Hayek Nuance, Boots and Condé Nast.
When I was a kid I spent hours in front of the TV watching every show. I sat so close that I could see the dots on the screen. Later my family told me this was the reason I had to wear glasses. But last year I found out they were wrong, my farsightedness is not even remotely related to that.
Between eye exams, I was the creator & showrunner of two TV shows in Portugal and I have written over 500 episodes for other series, including ‘Blood Ties’ which won an International Emmy in 2011. After moving to Los Angeles my passion for visual storytelling continued on to directing narrative film and brand video content, thus Tangible Matter was born.
